German Christmas Market

Opened on November 15 (Friday) and will continue until December 22 (Sunday) in the City Garden, near the Ivan Vazov National Theater—just a 4-5 minute walk from the nearby apartments.
The Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt is Bulgaria’s oldest Christmas market, established in 2011. This year, it features beautifully decorated wooden chalets offering traditional German specialties (sausages, fries, pastries), mulled wine with cinnamon and cloves, handmade souvenirs, Christmas ornaments, candles, and more.
There’s a packed program with various events, children’s workshops, a photo booth, meetings with Santa Claus, and a stage hosting theatrical and musical performances. Open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Sofia Christmas Fest

Runs from November 22 (Friday) to December 28 (Saturday) near the Kino Kabana area in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK)—a 10-minute walk from the apartments. Open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Organized by BSG Media with the support of Sofia Municipality, Sofia Municipal Council, and Pazarite Vazrazhdane.
The magical Christmas village includes a Ferris wheel, carousel, food and drink stalls, handmade souvenirs, decorations, meetings with Santa Claus, and a rich Christmas program on the outdoor stage.
The festival also features an art bazaar showcasing works by talented Bulgarian artists and craftspeople.
This year, Sofia Christmas Fest supports the For Our Children Foundation and their initiative “This Christmas, You Make the Miracles”. Partnering with Rotary Bulgaria, the “From Child to Child” project lets children gift toys or treats to those in need.

Christmas Park with Two Destinations

• Central Halls: From November 22 (Friday) to December 29 (Sunday) on the upper parking level near Pirotska Street, a 5-6 minute walk from the apartments, near Serdika Metro Station.
  Expect a rich program at the Cultural Center of Central Halls, a food and drink zone, a bazaar featuring works from Bulgarian artisans, and farm products from local producers.
• Gina Kuncheva Square: From November 29 (Friday) to December 31 (Tuesday) in the space between the Vasil Levski Monument and the Botanical Garden—a 20-minute walk from the apartments.
  Enjoy an open-air musical stage, a food and drink area, a crafts bazaar, and farm products from Bulgarian producers.

Coca-Cola Christmas Village

Opens on November 30 (Saturday) near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (pedestrian zone near St. Sophia Basilica), a 15-20 minute walk from the apartments.
Since 1995, Coca-Cola’s Christmas truck has been part of the holiday magic. During its global journey, it will pass through Bulgaria this year.
On November 30, starting at 10:00 AM, visitors can participate in crafting decorations for Sofia’s Christmas displays and send off the Coca-Cola truck on its exciting tour of cities including Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, Pleven, Vratsa, Blagoevgrad, and Sandanski. The truck will return to Sofia on December 19 (Thursday).

Christmas Day at Little Five Corners

On December 1 (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the intersection known as Little Five Corners (near Slaveykov Square, a 7-8 minute walk from the apartments) transforms into a festive pedestrian zone for the 4th year in a row.
Look forward to art workshops, beautiful souvenirs, food, and drinks.

Christmas Bazaar in NDK’s Central Foyer

From December 7 to 15, featuring stalls with clothes, jewelry, cosmetics, Christmas decorations, and more.

Christmas Wine Market 2024

On December 8 (Sunday) from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM at the Concert Hall of the Central Military Club, 15 minutes from the apartments.
A boutique wine event showcasing 26 selected wineries and importers. Around 400 visitors will sample nearly 200 wines, including rare vintage wines, premium selections, and exclusive items not available in stores. Some will be available for purchase. Tickets are available on Bilet.bg.

Mish-Mash Fest (Christmas Edition)

From December 13 (Friday) to December 15 (Sunday) under Sofia Largo’s roof, at the Ancient Serdica Center—5-6 minutes from the apartments.
Discover a wide variety of jewelry, clothes, accessories, home decorations, Christmas ornaments, toys, food, and drinks.

The Winter Market 2024

On December 14 and 15 (Saturday and Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Vivacom Hall Gallery, Oborishte Street 5, near the National Library—close to SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" Metro Station.

Christmas Brings Miracles

From December 20 to 22 (Friday to Sunday) at Vivacom Art Hall, Oborishte Street 5.
Specially geared towards women, the event opens with yoga on December 20 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Starting at 2:00 PM, explore a bazaar featuring designer clothing, art, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, food, and drinks. Enjoy art workshops, makeup sessions, hairstyling, discounts, and more surprises, accompanied by DJ DIASS.

My Eco Christmas - Farmer’s Festival Sofia 2024

From December 20 to 22 (Friday to Sunday), 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, at Sofia Largo’s roof.
Find eco-friendly souvenirs, accessories made from natural or recycled materials, workshops, high-quality foods and drinks from small Bulgarian producers, and unique culinary offerings.

Special Highlights

• Two Christmas Trees in Sofia:
  • One near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral will light up on December 1 (Sunday).
  • The other at NDK, decorated by children from local kindergartens and schools.
