From 9 September (Wednesday) to 22 September (Tuesday) 2026, Sofia will become the capital of European volleyball as Bulgaria welcomes the Men’s European Volleyball Championship – EuroVolley 2026.

Visitors can once again look forward to a diverse programme of music, theatre and cinema, as well as special events for children.

The festival park covers an area of 5 decares.

The venue features a large 10 x 8 metre main stage, equipped with a 7 x 4 metre cinema screen, as well as a covered 15 x 25 metre tent with wooden flooring. There is also a second stage with a 4 x 3 metre LED screen, specially designed for children's events. Visitors will also find food and drink stands throughout the festival area.

The festival has a capacity of 900 seated places, as well as a dedicated dining area with 300 seats.

Every year, the event attracts more than 50,000 visitors – residents of Sofia as well as guests of the capital from Bulgaria and abroad.

The festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sofia Municipality and the Urban Mobility Centre.

From 22 July (Wednesday) to 13 September (Sunday), Sofia will host the Sofia Summer Fest 2026 for the seventh consecutive year – one of the city's summer festivals bringing together music, theatre, cinema and entertainment for the whole family.

The festival will officially open on 22 July with a concert by Vasil Naydenov.

The initiative is organized with the support of the Sofia Municipality and under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev.
