On Friday, June 13, the 16th edition of the Opera in the Park festival kicked off at the Military Academy Park in Sofia. The event runs until Sunday, July 6.
Address: 82 Evlogi & Hristo Georgievi Blvd. (Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski”), just a 5–10-minute walk from Orlov Most – Sofia University metro station.
As every year, the open-air performances attract both locals and visitors to Sofia. The 2025 program by the Sofia Opera and Ballet is once again focused entirely on children, giving them the chance to enjoy performances alongside their favorite characters.
Over four consecutive weekends (Friday through Sunday), Opera in the Park 2025 will feature:
- Winnie the Pooh
- The Three Little Pigs
- The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats
- Little Red Riding Hood
- The Lost Princess
- The Carnival of the Animals
- The Jester on the Island of Wonders
- The Magic Flute
- And even a Concert for Babies
The festival is organized with the support of Sofia Municipality and under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia, Mr. Vasil Terziev.

- June 27 (Friday), 10:00 AM – The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats (musical by Alexander Vladigerov)
- June 28 (Saturday), 11:00 AM – The Jester on the Island of Wonders (musical by Georgi Kostov) 4:00 PM – The Lost Princess (concert with songs from Anastasia and The Sound of Music)
- June 29 (Sunday), 11:00 AM – Concert for Babies 4:00 PM – The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats
- July 4 (Friday), 10:00 AM – The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats
- July 5 (Saturday), 11:00 AM – Concert for Babies 4:00 PM – The Three Little Pigs (musical by Alexander Raychev)
- July 6 (Sunday), 11:00 AM – Winnie the Pooh (musical by Andrey Drenikov) 4:00 PM – The Magic Flute (Mozart’s opera, adapted for children)
In case of bad weather, performances will take place indoors at the “Ceremonial Hall” of the Military Academy (same address: 82 Evlogi & Hristo Georgievi Blvd.).
Tickets for Opera in the Park 2025 can be purchased at the Sofia Opera and Ballet box office (30 Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Blvd.) or online via their official website.
A mobile ticket booth will also be available at the Military Academy Park entrance, operating one hour before each performance and selling tickets for the current show only. Ticket price: 15 BGN for adults and 15 BGN for children over 1 year old.
