SOFEST SUMMER 2025

Summer in Sofia begins with music, art, and unforgettable emotions—just steps away from your cozy accommodation! From June 12 to 15, 2025, the open-air stage at Kino Kabana (in the park near NDK) will host SoFest Summer 2025—a festival that transforms central Sofia into a vibrant celebration of music, theater, literature, and dance.

From Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 15, the summer edition of SoFest—SoFest Summer 2025—will take place on the open-air stage at Kino Kabana, in the park next to NDK metro station, just a few minutes’ walk from our apartments.

The festival began in May 2018 and is the first in Sofia to offer such a wide variety of genres (jazz, pop, rock, blues, country, reggae, hip hop, punk, and more), different forms of art (dance, theater, literature), and a rich children’s program. Over the years, many renowned Bulgarian and international artists have performed on the festival stage, including Teodosii Spassov, Thanos Stavridis, Yotis Kiourtsoglou, Toni Kitanovski, Beloslava, Ivan Lechev, Vlatko Stefanovski, Vlado Mihaylov, Kamen Donev, Stefania Koleva, Gergana Stoyanova, Hilda Kazasyan, Zhivko Petrov, Rafi Bogosyan, Roberta, Boyka Velkova, Filip Avramov, Jelena Jovovic, Dobromir Banev, Margarita Petkova, Ivan Shopov, Gerasim Georgiev – Gero, Nencho Ilchev, Dragan Spassov-Dac, Doni, The Vladigerov Brothers, Tihomir Hojsak, Filip Novosel, Kalin Velyov, Amar Cesljar, Nina Nikolina, Kiril Hadzhiev-Tino, Kalina Batkova, Silvia Lulcheva, Stefan Ilchev, Petar Antonov, and bands like P.I.F., Akaga, The Fours, REWIND, The Usual Suspects, The Foundation, and many more.

SoFest Summer 2025 – Evening Program

• June 12 (Thursday) – Concert by TINO (vocals and guitar), joined by Simona Stateva (vocals), Nikolay Kardzhilov (guitar), and guests Vall and Robby. Start time: 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM) – Kino Kabana TINO will present his latest musical works.
• June 13 (Friday) – Concert by DARA, featuring Denis Popstoev (arranger) and dancers Bilyana Tsolova and Victoria Petkova. Start time: 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM) – Kino Kabana This will be DARA’s debut on the festival stage. She will perform songs from her upcoming album, set to release by the end of the year.
• June 14 (Saturday) – Concert by The Fox and the Tomcats featuring Militsa Gladnishka (vocals), Nikolay Vodenicharov – Niketsa (vocals and 3 guitars), and Ivan Velchev (vocals, drums, percussion, programming). Start time: 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM) – Kino Kabana This troubadour-style musical project combines diverse voices and styles to bring to life stories inspired by great literary works like The Master and Margarita, Ulysses, The Great Gatsby, Rage, and 1984. Expect a whirlwind of rock, pop, jazz, flamenco, country, reggae, and more.
• June 15 (Sunday) – Concert by COOL DEN (Nikola Simeonov – vocals/guitar, Ivaylo Petrov – vocals/guitar, Vasil Andreev – bass, Teodor Chirpanliev – drums). Start time: 8:30 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM) – Kino Kabana Formed in 2018, COOL DEN has released 3 studio albums, with the latest launched just months ago. Their music is known for its genre-defying richness and variety. Expect a powerful mix of rock, grunge, punk, hip hop, and reggae.

SoFest Summer 2025 – Day Program

As always, the festival offers a rich daytime program for children. Kids can enjoy creative and educational quizzes, art workshops, storytelling sessions, and dance workshops. Returning for the second time is the only line dance festival in the Balkans, along with fantastic parties for both kids and adults featuring DJ Franzy and DJ Aldo. Food and drink stalls will be available in the area in front of Kino Kabana. Admission to the daytime program is free.
